Michael works with colleagues across the firm providing advice to personal, business and charity clients as well as a number of statutory bodies.
Michael is currently Legal Assessor to the Northern Ireland Ombudsman in her capacity as the NI Local Government Commissioner for Standards and he is a member of the Regulatory Appeal Panel of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Michael was previously President of the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal and Legal Chair of the Statutory Hearings Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
Michael is the Protector (Special Trustee) of the Gallaher Trust overseeing the governance and operations of that charity, and also chairs The James Kane Foundation, a charity which supports and promotes education, skills and employment.
Michael was previously a Governor two post primary schools and is a director of a number of local companies operating in both the commercial and social sectors.
